Experience 2 Years
Qualification: Cert / Diploma in Engineering (Level 6 or 7 on NFQ).
Experience: Minimum 1/3 years’ experience in high volume manufacturing with experience of CNC machining and cutting tools, work piece jigs and hydraulics. Experience in supporting automation & PLC systems. Fault finding experience with mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical control. Experience in mechanical production environment.
Skills: Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics, PLC’s, Servo Motor Drives, Vision and SCADA systems. Knowledge of CNC milling machines and G code. Systematic approach to fault finding and process improvements. Process capability including 6 sigma approach and measurement systems CMK / CPK. Effective documentation and reporting skills.
Personality Requirements: Flexible well motivated individual with a proven ability to work on own initiative. Reliable, good communicator with a very good attendance record.
Main responsibilities and duties of the job but not limited to.
Primary emphasis on friction stir welding, seal test, wash, and burst test processing.
Responsibility for overall performance of the equipment during the shift.
Preventative maintenance and monitoring of machines.
Maximisation of machine up time and utilisation.
Develop expertise with all aspects of new equipment / technology including production processes.
To carry out changeover of machines in line with production schedules and new product builds.
Review machines / area on an ongoing basis with a view to possible improvements.
Manage and control spare parts and stock levels.
Manage and optimise maintenance task lists for all equipment.
Carry out work according to the task list.
