ABOUT BIOATLANTIS

BioAtlantis Ltd. was founded in Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland in 2004. The location is on the most western part of Europe facing over 3000 kilometres of the Atlantic Ocean. The first 2 years were devoted to research and development. A factory was installed and commissioned in 2006/2007 and the company entered the plant biostimulant market in 2007. Revenues have grown at a compound annual growth rate of 36% since then and we now export to 35 countries worldwide. Three patents have been filed.

A new factory was purchased in late 2014 and this is currently being commissioned. This will be the largest seaweed factory in the British Isles and will include a variety of extraction and purification technologies, together with concentration and drying. Collaboration agreements are in place with a variety of academic institutions worldwide.

BioAtlantis have the following accreditations and standards:

> EU approved for feed material manufacture.

> Organic Trust Member.

> Listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)

> Attested by EcoCert for a range of products.

> REACH Compliant for the manufacturer of Ascophyllum nodosum extract

(European Chemicals Agency, ECHA).

Environmental Sustainability

BioAtlantis use sustainable resources as its source of specific compounds. Materials are derived from renewable marine and terrestrial sources and include species of brown seaweeds such as Ascophyllum nodosum and Laminaria spp., that are harvested sustainably along the west coast of Ireland.
